Your First Appointment
During your first visit, we want to make sure you feel comfortable and informed about your dental care. When you arrive, we will provide you with a medical form to fill out while you wait for your dentist, before your dentist comes to introduce themselves and take the time to discuss any concerns you have regarding your smile.
Here's what you can expect during your first visit:
Comprehensive examination: Your dentist will carefully examine your teeth and gums to assess their health and identify any issues.
X-rays/OPG scan may be necessary in some cases, to get a more detailed view of your oral health.
Dental cleaning: A thorough scale and clean will be performed to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from your teeth, leaving them feeling fresh and polished.
Topical fluoride application: We will apply a fluoride treatment to help strengthen your teeth and protect against tooth decay.
You will also have the opportunity to discuss your dental goals and create a customised treatment plan. Our team will gladly answer any questions you have, ensuring that you feel confident in your treatment options. Remember, there are no silly questions at Port Hedland Dental & Implant Centre.
Typically, your first appointment will last approximately 45 minutes. Before you leave, we will provide you with a hygiene take-home kit and a treatment plan, if necessary, so you can prepare for any upcoming appointments for your smile journey.
